Slang

Many people play Magic with the same group of people quite often. During this process, you tend to develop “pet names” or slang terms for cards you normally play.

For example:

Kokusho, the Evening Star a.k.a. “Kokopuffs”

Emrakul, the Aeons Torn a.k.a. “The Muffin with Hands”

Wall of Denial a.k.a. “Wall of ‘No’”

Got any good ones of your own?

We have a few that started as misreading a card so we have neutralize instead of naturalize and timbermar larva instead of timbermaw larva. The only other one that really sticks out is that we call gwafa hazid ‘the jew’. I know it’s not pc but my Jewish friend came up with the name

Green Card Draw?

So I took the liberty of looking through the m12 spoilers on MTG salvation and I was a little surprised to see card draw in mono green. I was under the impression that was not a very ‘green’ ability, I mean, they have cards like ancient stirrings, and lead the stampeded, but straight card draw? Does anyone else find this a little weird?
